Work SMART not HARD!

We're often told that hard work gets us ahead. That's true to an extent, if you will put effort and focus on what you are doing and giving your half-hearted way, am sure you will achieve more.

Instead of working hard, spending long hours of working and done nothing, why don't you look up ways to work smart. Here's how.

Prioritize. Evaluate everything that needs to be done. Look every aspect of your job, allow yourself ample pondering time to make sure that you wouldn't miss every single work for today.
Limit you goals. Stop pretending to be a super hero (yebah!) because you are definitely not! If necessary, avoid multi-tasking. Because you often get less done since your brain is switching back and forth between tasks. Follow the rule number one - learn to prioritize.
Avoid procrastination. Every time we surf the net or needlessly check e-mail at work, update your Facebook account, along with your twitter and blogs. Make sure that you are done with those loads that you need to accomplish, or else you wouldn't get any thing accomplished.

Working smart not hard is an age-old adage. If you master the concept, your entire working life will be easier. I am still practicing on how to work smart, and I admit that sometimes I can get rid of doing something unnecessary to do. Thanks God I was able to finish my work, or else I wouldn't be here any longer.

Communication Barriers

I am working in a Japanese employer, although we have interpreter to immediately unriddle whatever communication barriers I admit that it is not always be an advantage.

Words can mean different things to different people. So for those who are working with different nationality like me, we have to always make sure that clear understanding of what you really implies most be done. Look the conversation as a duel rather than a two way fact finding or sharing process, if you are not agree on a certain statement, try to explain yours.

We can give our poor response if we listen to them poorly, so remember to always pay your attention to the other person you are talking to. There are no lessons or Human Services books who can teach you to pay attention, it is your own will.

Listening can be a form of communication barrier. Listening is not just hearing words, it goes beyond a lot more meanings. It is important that you have to express it in body language, as action speaks louder than voice. On the other hand, being in silence can be in another form of barrier. It might be uninterested into others or concentrated attentiveness.

Don't hesitate to ask question.

Team Building

Laguna Technopark Locators - CST Group

This is indeed another fun fun experience. Not just because of the team building itself, nor the activities behind that but most especially the people I am with.

Sharing my professional perceptivity to other professional person is such an opportunity to seize on. Taking them as a reward of sharing their insight professionally and re-creating their perspective to become a better person. As a matter of fact, I learned a lot on that team building experience. I've seen two different individuals handle the same situation in dissimilar approach and yet both are successful. I was amazed by the fact that those two approaches can give the same result if you just let your goal meets you half way.

I also like to take this site to say thank you to my ever mentor Ms. Ellen Garcia, for letting me part of this event. She asserted me to join this event, and she allows me to express myself into others. Again, I owe this to wonderful experience to you Ma'am Ellen, big thanks.

Work Evaluation for 2011

Hooray 2012! (hehe) sorry for the late greetings guys! Well, better late than never! so.. Hooray 2012!! hihi
Here we go....
2011 had been a great year for me, as far my profession is concern.Though my mother company and other affiliates particularly in Japan had been in a great battle as tsunami disturbed them, still God is great because His unselfishness still present to us.
Aside from the fact that, well... I had my salary increased twice in a row, I also had a lot of experiences and knowledge because of my seminars.
Though 2011 had been a quiet unmanageable for some difficult tempers I never get rid of. I had experienced an unchanging emotions from my colleagues and I believed they had mine as well. But as the year chances, I am optimistic that this another year would be a better emotions from all of us. So, I was closed every hurts, and issues within me as the year ended, to finally moved on.
I aslo had a superb moment with them spending our company activities and personal gimiks. Wait! hehe, I never had any personal happenings with them, pala (bwahaha). I just got married, you know! I am still reading the word "ADJUSTMENT" so I don't have time for personal gimiks last year. Who knows, I might get a lot of time this year, hihi.
So to sum them up, 2011 brought me a lot more experiences and learning that will treasure for the rest of my life. Memories that will make me smile once in awhile, and learning that will make me a better individual and a professional.
Hoping for more years working with you guys... (fingers cross)

One More Week Please!

Few more hours and it's New Year! How's everyone? I hope everybody had a wonderful preparation and have reserved a little energy for Media Noche. Good thing my sister prepared everything for us later, so am expecting a few more time for my self later.

For a couple of days now, I have been counting of how many days left before the vacation will finally ends. I still feel that I need one more week to feel that I had a vacation. Oh! yeah I did enjoy every activities me and my family had, but the thing is, I still need another week for a long time sleep. Because am sure if I didn't I might get my eyes down while working, good thing my company don't have videosurveillance.

I'm pretty sure that my whole month will be occupied with lots of pending loads and future reports, so I need a little more time to relax. Ironically speaking, I miss my table and my desktop already, including all of my paper works and office mates, haha.

5S Compliance

Christmas is not only means of a Merry celebration with our loved ones, but of course it is also a way of having superb vacay, and this is what I'm waiting for.

So as part of having our long holidays, I am now doing the so-called 5S on my work area. As the usual, I am expecting a bulk of garbage and paper wastes to be collected (hehe). What to expect guys, you know how hard working I am having a lot of those wastes.

Christmas parties are around the corner, and am getting more excited to finally have our own party in just a few more days now.

After so many discussions, preparations and plans for Christmas Party, we ended up to celebrate our party separated from our sister company. I am a bit sad in this outcome, well it is because I know that I will have a lot more time to get busy unlike if when join them. Nonetheless, I love the feeling of finally, we can go over crazy on our party!

Retro attire would be our main concept. I am getting more excited to see them looking fashionable on their 70s outfit, aw. Though, am not sure where the heck am gonna get my attire, I still feel excited (haha).

This is probably hard thing to do, because I know you would come across to this site. But I have to do this, because after all, I really feel the need of divulging these burdens within me, or else I just don't know what worst I can do.

First, I would like to clarify myself that I am not fighting back anybody. Its just that I am not fond of confrontations, I hate that. I know myself that I can't handle things right in confrontations. Because I know how to weigh things silently even without any words to say, I swear I really can feel things that aren't right.

I used to like you, as a matter of fact I felt that we can be good buddies someday. I just don't understand of who changed first, what make us changed and when that changes happened? Too many questions, diba? because that's exactly what I am now.

These are the things that I really don't want to see you doing.

You both seems to have YOUR OWN friendships. You keep on talking and talking (silently) and then eventually both of you will laugh silently even if I am beside you. I know this is sounds paranoid, but this behavior makes me feel that I am out of the place, where the fact I am just sitting beside you. I am sure you both don't want that as well.
When I am talking to you to ask something or just to clarify something or whatever the reasons that I tend to approach you. You seems deaf for not hearing me at all. Ending, I need to repeat what I am saying to just find your answers to my query. I have noticed that you don't treat others that way. It stresses me! because, I tend not to speak the whole day long, because I am too mad.
Just today, you said that I am a job digger. I just can't accept that. Thanks God for my husband, I know I've got a tranquilizer in his being (winks to him). I just don't see the point of saying those words. You know what implies me for those words, that you hate me for taking place of what are your previous responsibilities. Please, bear in mind that I am not like that, I will not grab any responsibilities unless otherwise given me the authority to do that.

I am sorry, because I know that I shouldn't feel this way since it is indeed 9 days left before Christmas. But I am hoping and praying that next year, or if God permits the circumstances we might have each other's closeness again before the vacation started. I am not rushing myself, because I know that I am not ready to mingle again. Please if you happen to read this, don't just tell straight to my face. I just want change!!

Types of People You Work With

Being professionals, we must understand that every one of us are having been uniquely created by the Man up above. As we grow as unique persons, we learn to respect the uniqueness of others.

For understanding more on how to deal with the different types of people at work. Here are some description you may want to read.

Grand Doormat - Everyone steps all over them and makes them feel insignificant. Underpaid and under appreciated, they would hate their job if they had ambitions or self respect
Office Fascist - employees to make fun of because they clearly lack the both the will and the courage to leave the place they despise. “Ano ba naman tong company na to”, “dapat kasi ganito”, dapat kasi ganyan”
Rumor Mill - They seem enthusiastic about work because they appear to discuss it so much. They are actually talking about co-workers. The smaller your office, the less they have to discuss — therefore larger companies are their primary stomping ground.
Perfect Perfectionist - perfectionist does not project superior knowledge, she only points out other flaws, even if she shares them. They are accountants of errors, keeping track of every mistake made by co-workers and publicizing them to the world.
Office Clown - the word can describe itself, on what kind of employee it is.
Office Angel - these are the employees who look at the positive side of a given scenario whether worst or worst (hehe)

Mini - MBA for Administrative Professionals

As expected, it was a very nice experience to learn with ARIVA! people. At the very first day of the seminar I have loaded with feelings of excitement and felicity that again, I had a chance to learn from them.

Our topic is about Mini- MBA for executive assistants and administrative professionals. When I first heard this topic I made me realized that the topic would be more on how to enhance yourself as an administrative employee. But to my surprised, it wasn't focused mainly on that thing, during the very first day up to the last day I got a lot of learning more of how to handle my boss to be particular (hehe).

I surprised that even my admirable speaker Ricky de Vera is also a blogger. He writes everything about administrative leaders, motivational words and a lot more, you can visit his blog here.

He first identify the works of being an executive assistant from an administrative assistant. Wherein he focused mainly on their different work preferences. When we say executive assistant, the loyalty should be on the boss, while administrative should be on the management. Executive Assistant performs administrative duties particularly with their immediate superior, while administrative assistant performs administrative duties for various supervisors.

As an administrative and executive assistant, you can build your competencies qualifications with the following:

Knowledge on protocol, office policies or procedures
Skills on office administration and management
Strong background or experience on business processing and group dynamics or interactions
Understanding of risk management and sensitivities.

Since being an assistant means that we are the alter ego of our bosses, thus we are various personnel in the organization often view us with caution. They even talk to us apprehensively, that sometime you feel that there is always a wall between them. They feel you somehow to an ambiguity. During this moment, we have to balance professional life and personal, to avoid these thoughts we can have our life after office hours. Let other knows that you are just doing your job and nothing is really personal. Practice the art of diplomacy.

Will Be Out For A 2-day Seminar

I am a bit nervous and excited for this seminar, well blame it all to the topic. This would be a two days seminar with a topic Mini - MBA, wooo!! look at that! I will be more of managerial this time (witwit).

I will be out for two days, so basically my blog hopping schedule which is Friday will be unseeable. I will try my very best to visit you guys on Saturday, and I will keep my fingers cross for that scenario.

Flaws @ Work

Everyone commits mistake, that's the reality we cannot change. Usually people can easily condemn their mistakes or flaws or just forget about it and simply move on. However, mistakes at work is a bit more serious, for it may cause problems for employer and even affect the company's bottom line. When you commit mistakes at work your career may depend on what you do next, you cannot just simply correct them by moving on.
On the other hand, there are are of course ways to counterbalance what we've done. As they say, all things are possible (wiee, that's my FB tagged line). Don't just put down yourself and cry like a numb, you may want to take these steps with you.

Admit your mistake. When you have done some flaws, tell everything to your boss IMMEDIATELY. Don't try to hide your mistakes, it may cause another trouble in hiding it. Besides you will look terrible if someone else discovers it.
Make a visible plan to fix your mistake. When you go to your boss to confess everything, make sure that you have some plans of correcting your mistakes. You have to have a quick thoughts and present mind to make things easy and clear.
The blame is all yours, stop looking for anyone else. Don't you ever dare of pointing fingers, it won't help anyone if you make a mistake.
Apologize. Apologizing is different from admitting, you should know that. It is a big relief to your boss as well as to yourself if you apologize. After all, you made mistake.
Never take the same mistake again. One is enough, period. I am sure you wouldn't want to see your boss discussing the mistakes again.

November 7 (Non-Working Holiday)

I am not excited about this, though I still feel the importance of blogging this that is why it was obviously posted!

Under the Presidential Proclamation number 276, declaring November 7, 2011 (Monday) as a regular non-working holiday in celebration of Eidul Adha or Feast of Sacrifice, one of the major religious feast in Islam.

This is indeed a very good news to all the students as well as for the Teachers and to those employee who work their butt off everyday. But unfortunately, this is not a good news for me and for me colleagues as well. Since we have computed number of holidays per year and it was planned ahead before the company term started. So I guess there are no other reason to celebrate, because we will be doing our routinary works that day (sob).

November 7 is very special day to me and Hubby, though this was our celebrating anniversary date when we're still boyfriends and girlfriends, still we want to make it extra special. This is one of those reasons to make sad on this news. We are in 9 years already, (shocks). So I can't see any options but to file my leave (psstt).

Working Across Generations

Feeling so cheered to write this topic. I am currently experiencing this situation and I want to share this with you. Actually, it is not mine who particularly having this experience but this is I guess the current dilemma in my company this past months.
Anyway, have you guys experienced stating the word "matanda na kasi sya, kaya hindi na sya maka-relate" or has anybody told you "bata kapa kasi, papunta ka palang pabalik nako" Well, I often heard these words and worst, I did received them. Most of the time, I heard from my parents, or to my older family members. But what about in work? Is it necessary that your colleagues would slam this on your face? or the other way around? Now, if you are experience working with too oldies colleagues nor too young, you might want to remember and consider these principles.

All generations have similar values. Most of the people think that there are enormous difference in values between younger and older generations. However, though you came from older or newer one, I believe that you both want to be treated with love and respect. So, I don't get a point of arguing things between older and younger generations.
Trust really Matters. Your peers, direct reports and bosses are those people you can put your trust on. Whether they are older or younger than you, show them that you can give their trust on you and you can trust them as well. Because more than anybody else, your direct colleagues are the one you are working with all throughout the working hours. Never mind the generations gap, just give them your trust anyway.
No one loves change. Generally speaking, people from all generations are uneasy for change. Apparently, it is a wrongful thoughts that younger people who loves to thrive with it and older ones are hate it. But the reality is, resistance to change has nothing to do with the age, it is how much one has to gain or lose with the change.
Loyalty counts on the context not merely on generation.
Everyone wants to learn. More than just anything else, you are working because you want to learn more. So then, enjoy your learning process while you are at work, delete those unnecessary issues that might lead you into different views why you are working.

October 31 (Special Non-Working Holiday)

I am sure that a lot of us are unhappy that November 1 (All Saints Day) falls between Sunday and Tuesday. This might be unfavorable to those who traditionally fervor November 1 as their family bonding to commemorates the souls of their loved ones. All Saints day is a traditional non-working holiday declared by the Philippines government as per Proclamation No. 84, dated December 20, 2010.
Worry not! everyone! because as per Proclamation No. 265, declaring October 31, 2011 (Monday) as a special non-working holiday. Read the whole declaration here.
So, we can all have a long weekend now! stay safe and be happy everyone!

An Apple's Great Genius Died at 56

Steve Jobs considered one of the most illusionist Americans of his generation and the confounder of Apple computers. During Mr. Jobs's second tenure at Apple Industry, he was a successful artificer of OSX, the iPod, iPhone which is the number one gadget I am panting for, and the iPad, and all of those are considered revolutionary innovations.

In 2044, Mr. Jobs bravely announced that he had a rare form of cancer, and in 2009 he was forced to take a series of leave of absence. After series of leave, he returned to work but health issues led him to take another days of absences during the beginning of 2011. Then, he eventually filed his resignation just this August as a CEO of Apple Industry. His resignation roar the whole technology and even other business industries.

Just this Wednesday, October 5, 2011, Jobs again roar the whole world for his lost. President Obama issued a statement Wednesday night about Jobs's death, saying:

"The world has lost a visionary, there may be no greater tribute to Steve’s success than the fact that much of the world learned of his passing on a device he invented.”

Personally, I was two hands up to this man. I am not a techie person but the fact that I am longing and really amazed with his iPhone invention is a great proof that he was really a great visionary man. Well, am sure am not the only person who craze to have an iPhone.

May you rest in peace Mr. Jobs, you really did a great Job! You deserved a standing ovation (clap clap!)

My Teacher, My Hero!

Before, I don't really appreciate my Teacher's effort to give us knowledge and most of the time, the character that I should have in and out the school.Most of the time, I ask myself why would they have to teach us Mondays to Thursdays and give us a quiz during Friday.Do they ever think that we are sleepless doing our home works and studying our lessons just to be on the right track. Now, that I truly understand the hardships of being a teacher. Their sleepless nights as well to prepare the lessons and strategies to teach their students.They truly deserve to be called "My Hero"Didn't we all know that if we failed, our teachers felt broken too, that if we succeed, they come after our happiness and feel very proud for us. That are also bothered at night about the awful acts we had, about our failing grades, on how they can help us to conquer our weakness. I am not a Teacher but I am a wife of a teacher! And I am proud to say that I have my own teacher, not just by profession but in passion. Now that they are giving a priceless tribute, why not giving them a simple greeting with a huge heart. Say them the the words of thanks, for without them, we might not achieve whatever dreams we had. Happy Teacher's Day! To All The Teachers out there

Month End

I can still remember the last time that I made my craziest and busiest month at work. BER months are not just an augury that Christmas is coming, and 13th month and other incentives as well. In most of the office workers, BER months are considered a month of catastrophe.

Today, ends the month of September, and in just a few hours from now October 1st will be started. Time flies so fast, that sooner or later year end reports will come along my way. So, I need to prepare myself for another series of reports to be submitted and complied.
Weird thoughts, because I still find month and year end reports as my enemies, though I have been working for many years now (haha). Anyway, so much about the month and year end for now, I will free myself from these burdens and search Posicionamiento Web to relax, even just for a moment.

In Moments Like This

I know that Typhoon Pedring is quiet dismaying, as a matter of fact it shivers me a lot. I am here in my work place, doing my routinary requirements and so. When I received a text message from my Mom, and she said that our neighbor's roof was felled already and she is bothering now if our own roofs will be the next victim (crossed finger to be not!).

Though Typhoon Pedring is currently roaring our country, let us all optimistics that everyone will be safe and sound at the end of this trouble. I suggest everybody to stay inside in a place where safety is highly measured and keep your eyes on the news.

Well just to sustain the title of this post, in moments like this I just wish....

to become government employee and not a private one

I just want to feel my bed and my pillows to just sleep all day long. Feel a cool breeze of Predring and to eat some hot stuffs just to compliment the weather. Most of all, in moments like this, I want to be with my hubby, with lights off and blablabla (sigh).

Get Along With People At Work

Making friends and building personal companion and professional relationships in the office isn't easy for everyone. Others may be too shy to initiate the first move, or they may think that personal and professional life should be treated separately. The relationship you establish with your workmates are the result on how your perception works.

In my case, I highly value finding and making friends at work. It can make the difference between loving and hating my job. Since they are the people I am working with every day, they are also the people, I believe I should get along with. I understand that everyone is different and has individual needs and beliefs. Here are some personalities that you might encounter at work, or these might be your own personalities that impedes you to make friends at work.

SHY. Deeper personal assessment should be done. Think of the reasons why are you feeling so faint, is it because you are afraid of rejection? or probably you have some instances in your past that you back from making friends. You don't need to overcome these feelings to make new friends. Just remember the this plays a big role in your social interactions. Why don't initiate a simple "HI" to them?
GRUMPY. These are those people in pain, because a lot of them love the word "complain". If you are experiencing this type of personality at work, the only way to deal with them is to become grumpy as well. You have to put yourself in the grump category and be a good empathizer. People love to complain, but if they know that they can come to you for support and a friend ear, it can make a job easier to handle. Just be careful not to become one of complainants.
BLACK SHEEP (aka: WEIRD). These are the people who seems to live in the other universe. These are the people who think that they have different thoughts with others. Well, we all have quirks, it is up to you to find people's quirks and accept them. After all, a true friend is a friend who loves them for them, without any judgments.
RELAXED. If you are a laid back person who just goes with the flow, then, lucky you! But most of the time, people who are laid back and relaxed are usually don't ignite friendships. Because they are so liaise-fair that no one becomes attached with them.

Making friends at work makes your professional life easier. Just bring them to you, become one of their empathizers and make them laugh. Don't take your work life too miserable, enjoy, have fun and just relax. Share your experiences that you may want them to know, consider having lunch with them or even dinner after office hours. Remember that we all need others to live.

Personally, I have good friends at works, we are not perfect though, because we often make our personal thoughts in opposite but we never bring them all in personal. What happened at work remains at work.

New Philhealth ID Cards

It was in the news a few weeks ago and I guess am quiet late to announce this, but still I will annouce this (haha). This is about a new system that Philippine Health Insurance Corporation has allowed with respect to hospital charges claim and the benefit that a member may avail of in terms of hospitalization.

They have launched a new Philhealth ID cards held at SMX Mall of Asia that according to Philhealth it was loaded with incentives and priviledges entitling the members to discounts for medicines and other services offered by participating establishments. Isn't that amazing?

Though Philhealth is a great help to those who are being hospitalized, they are now extending their public help with those incentives and discounts we can avail.

Aspiring to be a Star Employee

Given the opportunity to work with General Administration department is somehow rewarding for me. Not to mention the extra benefits, but most likely because you will learn how to deal with different attitude that a certain employee possesses.

There are so many professional and unprofessional attitude that we might encounter within the workplace, and we can somehow learn from them. Whether we like it or not, we can adopt a positive and or negative from the people surrounds us, it is still our choice if how we can handle such adaptation.

I'm pretty sure that everybody wants to become an outstanding employee or a star employee, don't you? If you are one of those aspiring employees and though that you are getting a good job, well good for you. But if you are not quiet there yet and would like to become one, let us take a look at the qualities that separates star employees from the ordinary ones.

They are always present. This means that they are present physically, mentally and even emotionally. They have good attendance records, and they know that quantity affects quality of time. If they have personaly problems you will never see them bothered, becuase they leave personal matters beyond personal and never bring anything beyond boarders.
They are results oriented. They make themselves busy in a worth dying works and spend time doing meaningless tasks just to look busy.
They are self-reliant. They required little supervision as they are capable or making sensible decisions.
They are progressive. They like things to be the way they are, and like doing things they are comfortable with. Star employees on the other hand, can easily adopt things that surrounds them and in the end, they excell on that changes and make themselves innovative to increase their worth.
They can communicate with ease. When star employee talk to other people they are not tense and uptight. They seems knowledgeable on what they are uttering to others.

Working Holiday Fun

As I have said, our annual working days including holidays are already declared through our very own company calendar. Subsequently, we already aware for our working and non-working days.

There we're times that those stated company working days was declared as an official non-working holiday for the others. So in moment like this, this is the scenario.

Dis-advantage: We are working while others are not! no canteen
Advantages: No traffic, no phone calls, no too much pressure, since there was no available canteen to serve us, (this is the most beloved part) a FREE LUNCH was given to all employees (burf). Just like today (August 30 - End of Ramadan), while others are still enjoying their long weekend, I am here at the office happily (ows) doing my pending reports. But with benefits of enjoying my free lunch and pm snacks (yummy!)

Official Holidays

We will be having a long weekend this end of August. That would be on Monday (August 29) and on Tuesday (August 30), based on Proclamation No. 84 signed by our President Noynoy Aquino.

But since we are entitled with computed holidays and or no work. We do have work on Tuesday but we don't have work on Friday (September 1).

I understand that in every profession there is always a different stories to tell. I aslo know that it's get along with different weight in loads and in burden. But allow me to describe only one profession this time, and to make more specific. Let us all use a nurse.

Nurse (according to wikipedia) is a healthcare profession focused on the care of individuals, families, and communities so they may attain, maintain, or recover optimal health and quality of life from conception to death. Nurses work in a large variety of specialties where they work independently and as part of a team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care. So therefore, a nurse is someone who can give us comfort and assistance to atleast lessen the pain of the sick person - first aid.

If that's the case, I am wondering if the nurse in SAN JOSE TRAUMA HOSPITAL - GMA named DEL ROSARIO, ROBERT or ALRICH knew what he is certainly doing. Because of the rudeness we've experienced to him, based on the meaning of being a nurse, it really implies that he doesn't know what he is doing. (The story was posted here)

Torn Between 2 Bosses

It is hard enough managing one boss! I certainly know that. How much more of having a multiple bosses at the same time. Lucky me! because I worked directly for a nice lady, the general affairs manager of the company. But how about those employees having two or more bosses, well! am sure that they are facing a serious challenge.

Though the process of handling multiple bosses is quiet tricky, it is something you can easily become accustomed to. It takes some serious and effort though, still do not ever underestimate the importance of organization.

Here are some tips when you are caught in the middle of your two bosses, may you find these helpful.

First you must know and understand fully what are your priorities. Imply to yourself that you are only a human and there are only 24 hours a day and you are required to work half of that. So then, you'll need to prioritize. Although most of the time it is critical to determine whose tasks must get the number one slot on your list. Just remember to make sure that all parties are clear about the way it works. You don't want one boss feeling that they are always getting the least priority.
Personality and Work Differences. Even your two bosses or more having the same work load, they are not working in exact the same way. It might be your boss A loves to do "RUSHian" way of handling the job. While your boss B performs each task in a more organized way of handling, but they can both accomplished the job. Ask them how they preferred you to do a certain job, it may find it helpful to you to differentiate them better. Be flexible in your approach.

Wear and Right Hat. This is very complicated approach to do. But as I have said, you must know your bosses in their individual personalities and in differences in that way you would apply wearing the right hat. In my case, I have my immediate superior was at her early 40s and my president at about late 50s and two of them have different views and personalities. So I have to switch gears throughout the day. Follow their lead and wear the hat that suits them best. As my dad said: "When you are in Rome be a roman".

But as always you simply can't do two different jobs and please both bosses 100 percent, so part of your job is to become the negotiator. You first have to assume the both of your bosses don't want to make your life miserable (please don't be too mean!). They are just trying to accomplish their goals, and they have different views on how to do that goals. But if you really think that the scenario is not getting benefited to all of you, you might want to consider the face-to-face meeting and then tell everything what's on your mind. Don't tell and cry out with your office mates as if you are a poor victim with differences, or it is obviously torn between two bosses. Consider the word "CONFRONTATION" just be flexible with yourself on doing it and you must withstand with what you are complaining for else you will be facing another story.

Being More Productive

I don't know if am the right person to discuss this topic, lolz. But I would like to share these tips to help us stay focused and increased our overall productivity within work.

Didn't you know the difference between, being busy and being productive? Well, to let us easily understand, allow me to ask you this: How many work have you done for your busyness? Notice that there are some people always act busy but get little "real" work done, that includes me! hihi (sometimes). But I admit that there will come a time here in the office that I need to pretend that I am busy, because not everyday is a busy day for me.

So let you work more productive, here are tips for us to consider:

Minimize wasting time on the Internet. This is I guess my number one distractor. Since I have the privilege of surfing Internet, I admit that I can't barely ignore the presence of Facebook, twitter and most especially blogger. I have been trying to take a closer assessment at what I work on and realizes that even though I do get a lot done, I could still improve more. Now, to help us stop getting sucked into the Internet presence, why not make a list of what are those loads that you want to work with and those works that you want to accomplish in advance. Well, I have been trying these things out, and so far sor good.
Avoid gossip using emails. (bwahaha) There are no difference of gossiping in emails and using Internet, why? Because admit it, gossip makes us entertain and out of focus for some important work to be done, right? So, to avoid answering those was nonsense conversation, just simply do not involve yourselves on it. Stop replying!
Make your daily Tasks and Goal. I have here a simple note in my PC to check if I have done what was needed to be done. It really works, especially when I have tons of jobs and reports in a particular day. This is also to make sure that I have not neglected any of my jobs.

I may not have all the best tips written here, but rest assured that these tips can contribute us to become productive worker as ever! But if you have some tips and tricks you follow to stay focused and more productive let me know. I would be very thankful enough to follow those suggestions, so please put them in my comment box.

Many things have changes over the years, especially in evolving world of business and professionalism. Cellphones are now being one of people's necessities. along with the company, telephone has come a necessity for companies to merge jobs together in order to eliminate human resources and save money.

Here are some basic tips:

For INCOMING CALLS:

It should be answered in a timely manner.
Correct spiels should always be practiced especially in business telephones. Ex: "Good Morning, FRDP Company, Ferry speaking, how may I help you?" In a busy office setting that fields hundreds of calls each day, mentioning your company name plus greetings are acceptable.
Never put a caller on hold, but if you really need to do that, make sure to check back with them every minute.
Speak clearly and slowly when you answer a business call. Speak with confidence so the person on the other line has the feeling that you know what you are doing.
Never be rude to a caller, no matter how nasty they are. Remember that you are what you speak, handle yourself in a professional manner.

FOR OUTGOING CALLS:

Again, speak clearly and slowly
If you get the wrong number, apologize to the person who answer the phone, don not just hang up.
When leaning a phone message, always give your name, company, and your phone number.

While that may be necessary, it is not necessary that the common element of telephone etiquette be left to suffer. I know that this is just a "BASIC" things to consider, but let us assess ourselves if we are still practicing this etiquette or not.

Thinking about Charity work? wondering about charity career? Well, I myself once was thought that I would work on charity, but obviously it wasn't fulfilled. I love helping people! I mean everybody does I know that, but am talking about a serious charity works.

Perhaps you should ask me what in particular charity job I am referring to. Well, these are those various registered non-profit sectors, volunteer organizations, community sectors that would mainly aiming to help those less fortunate people through fundraising jobs and authorized soliciting donations from those fortunate people. Being volunteer, which is the one I am referring with is a key element in this sector. That is why it is important that you ask yourself seriously and with clean heart, what is your aim of engaging in this kind of career, it would be:

to make a lot of money?
to develop your skills in communicating others?
to build a business?

or it could be

to help other people and eventually to change the world?

When To Wash Our Hands

We are taught to wash our hands from our very childhood. Though this is a very simple act, yet it plays a vital role in maintaining good health and proper hygiene. However, due to time constraints, it is true that most of the people refrain from washing their hands. Especially when are exicted to eat something yummy, or too busy of doing something.

But when was the right time to wash our hands? Below are some important times when it is pertinent for people to wash their hands.

after using toilet
after one has touched any animal or animal waste
prior and after cooking
before eating
when using public restrooms.

Now, how about proper wasy of washing hands.

Wet your hand with the normal water and apply hand soap or bar soap
Massage your hands properly together for about 15 to 20 seconds. Don not leave out any surfaces such as backs of your hands, wrists and skin between the fingers and finger nails.
Rinse well with water
Now dry the hands on a clean towel, or Hand Dryers.

I know that this is just a basic information on a proper hand washing and how it is to be done. But the question is, are you a compliance of doing these steps thoroughly?

Am I Worthy With My Salary?

I wish I had a million dollars as payment for my every day job (haha), just kidding. But seriously, I guess when I had reached that million dollars of income per day, I still wish for more of that. Because that's people, we tend not to become satisfy, and we are still craving for something more than we have.

Same with employee, whether you are at a minimun wage earner, obviously you want to make more. Same as with those employees at a highest levels, they stil want to make more. On the other hand, it is our beliefs that we are entitled to more compensation. We possess strong self-eestem and self worth that we should highly compensated for who we are. On the contrary, we haven't realized that our expectations are not founded on the realities that our "ability" may not be enough to get a high compensation. Basically, because compensation is a result of your ability or based on your performance on a given tasks.

There are tactics to maximize your compensation, and these might help you to do that.

Document your accomplishments. It is reality tough to argue with well-documented perfomance, so better start now. In doing so, here's an effective way to do that, break your accomplishments into three. First, define the problem. This is compose of situation or challenges for aout two to three sentences. Second, a bulleted-format showing how you deal to those challenges and accomplished all of them. And finally, in a results paragraph, how was that accomplishment become benefited to the organization. Make your accomplishment report as creative as possible.
Continue your education. You are never too old to learn. Constanly, educatin leads to new job opportunities, promotions and pay raises.
Become socially aware. If you are out of date and out of touch, with what is happening inside your company, then your earning power will go out the door.
Perform beyond expectations. Being initiative doesn't kill you, so better do it more often.
Ask your promotion. If you think that you have done all the neccessary action to promote and yet nothing happens. Then, that's the time to ask for promotion. Just present everything, like your documented accomplishments and the likes. You will be amazed at how often your initiative can lead you to your dream success.

The opportunity to earn more is always up there, everywhere. But it is up to you on how you will seek them out. Remember to assess yourself, see if your expectations are realistic based on your value and performance.

Cough is the common illness that can easily pass on through by inhaling or exhaling right in front of its victim.

As much as possible I want to give my family a full protection that they deserved. Especially an illness free, and it is insufferable to do simply because I am not with them 24/7. Then, I should look for a better partner to atleast protect them from any viruses that might come along their way.

Protective Masks can be an instrument to always make them safe and virus free. Plus giving them the right vitamins, healthy foods with proper diet and exercise. I think no more viruses can even dare to touch them, never!

Wines

I am an occasional drinker, and I find it healthy. As a matter of fact, even my doctor advised me to drink atleast 2 glasses of wine per month. Studies show that a moderate drinkers have 30 percent ess risk than nondrinkers of developing type 2 diabetes. Red wine reduces the risk of colon cancer by 45 percent and this has been a study from American Journal of Gastroenterology in 2005.

Try foundling 2009 merlot brand of wine and feel the less alchol taste of it. Often times, wine drinkers preferred to have a tasteless alchol compare to those wines with strong taste of alcohol. By this, you will love to drink it more often and enjoy the its goodness.

Cars are for Boys

I don't have kids yet, but I have two little cute nephews who can play along with me everytime I want to feel being inocent. But most of the times, we argue things for we don't have the same desire for toys. Obviously I want barbie while they want Remote Control Cars, and since I am the one who wants to play with them, I don't have choice but to deal with it.

I don't understand we these cute boys are crowling for toy cars. While I am not that much inlove with barbies, though I'm inlove with stationaries back when I was a child. I wonder if I am crawling to have them too? haha

So, cars are really for boys and dolls are for girls! Then if that's the case, why is it some other girls love to play car and boys love to play dolls? hmp...

Reading Glass

There will come a time that you will do a certain thing even if you don't want to do it, simply because you don't have choice.

....Wait hold your back! am not talking any serious matter here okay, I just wish of not wearing reading glasses at all (hihi) but if that's the only way to correct my unclear vision, well! I need to deal it with.

Last year since I started wearing my 50/50 grade eye glasses. But due to constant inconvenient of wearing that eye glasses. I have decided to consult an optalmologist to check if it was still fit on me. But to my surprise, my grade already reached 100/100 grade (whew).

My optha suggested to wear my prescription eye glasses everyday to avoid any problem and and worst consequences. So here I am wearing my playboy eye glasses and trying to find the goodness on it, just to compliment my self. For now, I could say that I am not comfortable of wearing it, but time may come that I can't live without it.

I'm BUSY, PROMISE!

Believe it or not, I am busy! and it is not because I do have lots of pending work loads, but because I just feel that I am in need to become busy.

I am working with my Purchase Order editing (PO) and I am working with our accounting system. So I need to focus and fully dwell my eyes and attention to avoid flaws. Or else it might affect the whole invetory system as well as the accounting (I guess so!) So might as well do it perfectly. This is in accordance of improving our purchasing in terms of my Purchase Order.

Aside from that purchasing project, of course I still need to comply my routinary job and "extra" work loads. So as a result, here's my table, or I don't know if you can still call it as an office table. Because I now wondering that it not a table anymore, it is merely a MESS on my table.

I'm not claiming to be an organized person, but I am not saying that I am unorganized either. But at this point in time, I must say that I have a lot of mess stuff around my table. I hate being busy! it made me feel mess too (yarks).

Good thing I will be done anytime this week so, it will be a mess free table again. I just hope everything will be a flaws free work, so help me God!!

Talking about my Professional Life

When I was in college, I dreamed to work in at least one of the tallest buildings in Makati. I thought of being a Makati employee makes me feel successful at some point in my career.

I graduated and have several experiences of working, got various employers and gained few friends. Finally, I was employed in one of the most equip insurance broker in Asia and having my office in one of the tallest buildings in Makati (Philam Life Tower). During my first quarter of working I thought I can swallow every bad treatment I am engaging with, only to prove to myself that this is my professional path I am craving to have. I am not saying that all of them are devils, on the contrary I am not saying that they are not. Maybe I just don't know where on earth did they get their attitudes. They are seems a tiger, they are all very eager to get the highest position in that company, no matter how. Well, I want to have that highest position in any company of course, but I believe that it is a process of evaluating your straights accompanied with your weaknesses, performance and self discipline.

After all, I started loving few of them. In fact I can say that working in Makati makes me feel a better employee. Who couldn't be? of all the heart aches, tears and salava I've been through? hehe. No doubt that I can face my deadlines without too much stress.

Now that I have my position here in my current employer, I could say that, though I am not working in Makati, I have reached my dream job and employer.

At the age of 26, I still thank God that He was able to show me the comparison between a dream and a happiness.

Birth Day Leave!

Tomorrow (July 7) is my natal day. I am out of the office tomorrow and spend my birth day with Hubby. Actually there will be no celebration at all, because we will going to process my non-professional driver's license and we will go straight to GSIS to activate his card. So, it will be a whole day long travel of processing our personal IDs and the other documents.

I am 26 already and must say that I'm happy and contented. I am hoping for more blessings of course and I am excited to live each day to spend it with my loved ones. As much as possible I don't want to become emotional, but that's the reason why I keep myself quiet, because I'm worried that I might cry, you know....birth day jitters!!

In 26 years of living mylife in this universe, I would like to thank God most above all for giving me the best blessings that I deserve to have. Thank you for giving me another year, a year of blessing and happiness.

I have to say this: I AM THANKFUL ENOUGH TO HAVE MY COMPANY. Actually it is the people within it that makes me feel thankful for. My salary may not that huge to brag about, but I could say that I am worthy with it. Though I am open with salary increase (hello, calling my president), ofcourse who wouldn't want that?? hihi. Anyway this is not about my salary or anything else, this post is about my Shachou (President).

I have once was said that he is a One Minute Manager, one minute in a sense of he can give instructions, praise and reprimand in just a minute. He is a jolly president most of the time, he knows how to appreciate his subordinates by simply napping on our back. He is indeed a high profile person beneath with humble heart.

FRDP - Poster Making Contest

They we're the participants of the said contest. They are all engineers who apparently looks like not (hihi) they are all look like college students (taking up Engineering) bwahahaha.

After an hour of giving them to visualize and then put it in art. They have finished their aubra and made it beautiful as I've expected, actually I appreciate their drawings since I don't even draw a perfect single.

Winners will be announced during our Monthly General Meeting on July 8, 2011.

FRDP - Give a Gift

As part of responsibility of helping human into human, we at FRDP extended its hand of helping an orphanage for their basic needs.

Actually this is project of LTI (Laguna Technology Inc.) as their outreach activities. They have asked sponsors from different companies inside the vicinity of Laguna Industrial Park, and we have been involved our company.

The chosen orphange was near on our place, it is none other than JABEZ HOME OF JOY. We regret to have atleast one representative to witness the give gift on that day. But we know how much our love has been giving them joy, an everlasting happiness, and that was priceless.

I know that you are experiencing another trial with your employee's constant resignations. I want you to know that I will happily work with you until you have reached those level of stability. I understand that you are just started to operate three years ago and don't have much the power to compete with those stablished and well-known companies. Though we are providing them unquestionable pedals and jigs design through the help of your loyalist engineers. Still you can't go beyond without those people who are willing to work with you to the fulliest.

Despite the fact that you are surely unselfish company, that you are giving all your best to satisfy us and make us stay by reaching us through your polite words and good benefits. Sports Fest 2011

As part of our yearly recreational activity, we, my FRDP family had our 2011 sports fest at The Mills Country Club. We had mini tournament on Bowling and Badminton.

Now, I must say that we can spend father's day a little bit longer, since it was fall on June 19 (Sunday) we can spend all night long together with the first man in our lives.

If You Are Unhappy, then QUIT!

I have been hearing rumors of "RESIGNATION" in my company, I used the word "rumor" because until now I haven't seen any resignation letter on my table approved by my immediate superior. Don't get me wrong, I am not hoping for them to file, okay! as a matter of fact, if there's one thing I am wishing for right now, is the fact that I don't want anybody to quit! But I don't understand, I will not understand!! the reason behind this rumors. I mean, as for me, IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY, then QUIT!! why do you have to prolong your agony of speding your time submitting your deadlines, smiling and be-friend with your officemates and then suddenly your are not happy. I have said it once that, work is work then deal with it, leave with it! Whatever happens inside your workplace, just leave it there.

I understand that sometimes, moods between moods of whoever people in your job will tumult, it will might be your boss (as in most cases) your office buddies even the guard and janitor. But, please for God sake! move on! where is PROFESSIONALISM here? I am not saying that when you file a resignation you are not professional, I just want to clear that! What I want to emphasize here is that, when you want to quit, then quit!! don't be too publicise on it, just go and straight to the point. You are gauging the management on when should we hire another YOU or when should we not. Well, whoever you are or whoever they are, think hundred times before doing any moves, we all know that job isn't easy to be found. See these signs of being unhappy with your work for you to consider the word "RESIGN".

You love the word "POSTPONE". you really, honestly want to get some work done. But for some reason, you dont feel like doing anything to done. You feel like being tired already with your constant same old jobs.
You can't sleep on Sunday worrying about Monday. One of the most tremendous part of being unhappy with your work is the fact that even your free time will be bothered, you can't find time to free your mind on it.
Salary and Titles are Big Deal. What else to get there but compensation and promotion, that's your statement.
You don't feel like helping co-workers. Just like the others, I am busy! and I don't have time to help others. That's also your statement.
Work days feel lonnnngggg. The first thing you do in the morning is to calculate the remaining hours until you finally go home. Ironically, this makes the work day feel even longer.
You are suspicious of other people's motives. You feel like everybody hates you, that everybody is talking behind your back! FYI, studies show that we're also more suspicious of other when we're unhappy.

In all of these things I have said, there is only one thing you must consider, and that is your own personal happiness towards your work. Kapag hindi na masaya, quit na!

Tuesday Motivation

I wanna Thank God for another life he has given to me, for I am able to do another work job and experience another life being an emploee, and of course to you, yes you!! because you would able to read my Tuesday Motivation Post ^_~ today. I feel blessed early this morning for God gave me a lot of reason to smile. Truly life is really a matter of choice, if you choose to be happy then, the rest will follow. And today, obviously, I chose to be HAPPY (winks)

Since I am overly generous that I would like to pass on the greatness I am feeling right now. I would like to share a simple words of motivation, and I hope I would be able to lift your spirit high and alive.

Not Everday is a Happy Day

I am HAPPY!! but I must admit that everyday is not a favorable day for me. As I have said that life is always a matter of choice, then I need to choose to always be happy instead of being a miserable slave worker.

You cannot please your boss always, and vice versa, so as your office buddies. For me being a slave, it teaches me on how to become mature everyday. It teaches me to pratice my unpredicatable patience to always be preditable. To always maintain my professionalism at its best, but sometimes I just can't follow the ruling of patience is a virtue. Although, I love my job and not so my office buddies, in fact, if God gave me a chance to choose between my past employer and and current now, I will always choose my present. But they are not perfect and so am I, there we're come a time that moods between moods will argue and feelings will not meet half ways.

For whatever happens, always calm down and try to put things in natural mental thinking (hihi). Always stay in professional manner and do your job, don't mind them. After all, your boss is always right and your office mates will always be your officemates.

Fruits of Working So Hard (char!)

There is no more happiness could an employee deserves if they'll be well compensated during bonus days. After being busted out of deadlines and working with busy days (char!) infront of my desktop, managing my phone calls and suppliers, including my boss' demands and moods, I deserved a bonus!! (clap clap clap)

Admit it that we - regular workers do love the month of MAY, didn't you? Because this is the time that we received whatever incentives a company is paying back to their employees.

Aside from celebrating the bonus that we received, we had a great bonding for Kenn's farewell party. I really had a great time spending with you alabangers (as always!) though I am indeed a Cinderella that time, I still had a great time. Pardon me, for I am just being a good wife (hihi) ♥_♥ thanks for understand, anyways!!

Approved COLA - isn't it sane?

Early last week, the National Capital Region wage board approved the P22.00 Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) for workers. But prior to this decision, Kilusang Mayo Uno and other related organizations called for P125.00 additional wage increase. This is for the immediate relief amidst the ascending prices of basic commodities and petroleum gas.

But the said organization for workers decried the said P22.00 COLA increase. They did not find this welfare doesn't get anywhere near the significant P125 wage increase hike that we workers have long been clamoring for.

Admist the grinding poverty and extereme exploitation being faced by the Filipino workers, I wonder did the Pinoy regime found this P22.00 COLA increase beneficial already?? or this is just a fairly increase that the workers and the employers could meet in the middle.

Develop the Job Description. Applicant wants a precised Job desription, this would make them decide of whether they would want the job or not.

Choose the interviewers. Job Vacancies come from different departments, so it is better to choose who will be the perfect interviewers that would contributes to the HR of getting the right person for the job.

Oppotunity Lies During Vacation

For a CAR WASHER at parking area. Holiday means a lot of money for them, for this is the time of almost parking areas we're overloaded.

Street food vendors can be profited for them if they can have more customers to buy.

To all of you who consider vacation and long weekend as their means to survive, and took that opportunity to have an extra money, I am saluting you all the way (clap! clap!)

Ways To Stop Working On Your Vacation

Even if you like your job to the nth power, you will still look forward to have your vacation. Whether it comes during summer or in a ramdom long weekend. After all, nothing beats the happiness of having superb vacation right?

I am working as a purchaser in my company, and sometimes I admit that my Bosses expect me to give an update of my orders from the supplier (happens in a rear case only). But when I feel that I don't want to be disturbed all the out, these tips is really assistive.

Don't keep your leave a secret. Although you have filed your leave weeks ago, don't expect everybody to remember. If you have a great memory boss, well that's good news but if you don't have, make sure that you have reminded all concern people about your leave.

Proper Hand over. It is necessary to ensure that people back at work can keep things running smoothly in your absence. Be sure to make a proper hand over of your pending jobs for you not to be disturbed.

Plan your vacation. Proper scheduling is very important if want to enjoy your trip. If it's happen the on summer vacation you would be in hurry to meet deadlines, then don't file vacation at all and schedule it some other time.

If you can find ways to ignore work, then you must be disciplined at least. Designate a brief period for that task and finish it in as much as quick time as possible. Because am sure people vacationing with you don't want to see your laptop or cellphone all throughout the trip.

Start the habit on you. Set an example for your team, by going on vacation and leaving work behind in an acceptable manner. If they would see you successfully able to separate work and personal life, they would have a better attitute as well.

Letters of Intent: To My Dear Officemates

Dear Officemates,

I may not be your ideal workmate to have,
because of my constant flaws in my reports.
I may not be ideal for I am being rigid most of the time,
I act very stern and ends up being clubby.

I want you to know that I am doing all my part to become a better work partner.
I may not be the best but I can be true to whatever moods and personality I've been showing on you.
I am sorry if I have hurt your feelings, that leads us both into cold war realtionships.
But you have to cognize your flaws as well and realize that I am not that devil to hurt you without even hurting me too.

Let us treat our company as a home that we can work on together with peace and harmony.
Our bosses claimed that we have the best environment compare to any other companies, and I must admit that they are all correct on that. So let us forgive and forget whatever pain we both cursed to each other and let the harmony be with us again. I know you are hurting the way I am too.

ITR Last Day of Filing

Income Tax is simply the direct tax paid on income to the government within a given financial year. This is either a calendar year (January - December) or Fiscal Year (February - January of the following year). (wheee) accounting knowledge... now am getting fret (hihi).

Under section 139 (1) of Income Tax Act, when a person from all of its sources of income exceeds the maximum amount which the is not chargeable to income tax by the government, then that person is oblige to file the income tax return.

Avoid wilful tax evasion, submit your reliable Income Tax and become a Law Abiding Citizen in our Country. Though this is the last day of filing and your submission might be consider as a RUSH act. Still have your time to file it, remember that better RUSH than never (nyahaha)

Traffic Signs

This post is just a review, and some kinda reminder that understanding traffic signs is really a must.

It is a precautionary measure to become knowledgeable in traffic signs merely because it can save lives. I have heard a lot of traffic incidents happened, remember that innocence plays in the background of arogance.

Traffic Signs or Road Signs are erected to provide imformation to the road users, so we must obey that signs to avoid incidents and voilations. Have a safe driving everyone!!!

Teacher's Craziness

I am not so sure if my faith can bring them to this site, but I will hold on even a single posibility it may brings. I want to thank my hubby's co-teachers for letting me feel that I am part of the group. I may not pleased all of them but I know (and I hope) that majority of them are fine with me.

I know the fact that Hubby is such a crazy person, though his looks can be deluding often times (but he his crazy....very crazy). I didn't anticipate that his co-teachers are twiced crazy as he (hihi), or maybe because I never seen them dancing, stumbling, crawling and laughing. I usually see them walking with authority and very formal (yirkks).

I never could imagine that I will see myself smilling seeing them being crazy. If only my abdomen doesn't hurt me at that time, am sure they will see more crazy in me (sob). But I indeed enjoyed that outing...

Again, my sincerest heart is for all of you MADAMS ^_~

Honda 2011 Model

Having an employer that concerns about Cars and its parts is such an advantage especially when you are a big fan of on it. When I was a kid and knows how to dream, I was once dreamed of having a limousin service with a handsome driver that would gently open the door for me (aw!) But when I've reached the reality that limousin is such an expensive thing that I would have a lifetime to have, I end up dreaming of having such an elegant service like Mercedes Benz.

But then again, when I reached 20 (that was last last year ago, jokes!!) I then again realized that it would take a lifetime for me to have it. And then now, that I am working as part of Honda team. I am now dreaming of a cute Honda Civic 2011 (oh!! la la) Why not???

Unused Sick Leave is now on Tax Exempt

Under the new regulation , that amended the Revenue Regulation No. 5-2008 BIR said that unused Sick Leave (not exceeding 10 days) is now on Withholding Tax Exempt, isn't that good news???

Most of us employees acquire more of a Vacation Leave (VL) than Sick Leave (SL). So, in effect the remaining Sick leave that would converted into cash (it depends on what approach your company has) was automatically deducted a tax, so we cannot get the exact amount on particular remaining Sick leave.

But now as amended, under the new RR no. 5-2011. It was extended to exempt the Sick Leave for withholding tax but please be guided that this law is applied for GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES only!!! So, if you are working in a private company, just like me. Let us keep our faith alive!! who knows sooner or later this will be amended again and declare to cover even a private sector, just keep our faith ^_~ (aja!!!)

Are you LBM (Looking for Better Management)??

Question: What makes you think that you need to look for a better management? Does your current employer doesn't give you a privilege to promote into a better position that you deserved? Are you working uncompensated? Are you not happy with your co-workers because they we're fan of making gossips at your back? Well, if these questions makes you a YES answer, maybe you need to look for a better management, soonest.

I am not an expert when it comes in dealing with everybody's life and their profession. I am 25 years old, turning 26 but I've already had 8 employers plus my current now. I could say that I know totally what's important in having a better management that would helps you maintain your daily finances and helps you to learn more and vice-versa.

Although salary contributes a major factor to consider, I must say that nothing beats with the an Employer who can create a good working environment. Someone who can establish a good working communication within the team and can give you an open policies that even rank and file can have their voices clear and loud. Your boss treats you as if they are working next to you that anytime they can give you praises as soon as you have done better a can easily forgets your flaws when they have reprimanded you.

Maybe you can look for a better environment first before finding a better management.

That I am so blessed to have not only a kind and caring workmates but most especially a good friend in you guys, I want you to know that do appreciate your kindness and sincere love to me.

To Rhea, thank you for taking care of my loads. I know that my two weeks leave can be considered a burden on you, because it adds additional responsibilites to you. But everytime I have talked you, you seem very generous and concern about me and my baby's condition (my hugs Rhei).

To Gerlai dear, you've been a very jolly and nice friend to me, that is why I like to be with you most of the time. Being simple is always your style. I want to thank you, for sharing your caring through buckets of fruits that you have gave during my weeks of pregnancy to me and to my baby. I know that somehow, you got a lot of part on my baby's life.

To Jenn, I know that you are waiting for my pizza gallore (huhu). Don't worry there are still a lot more reasons to hold on to that thing!! I promise that I will give my share to that treat (hehe) Thanks Jenn, for showing your love and care to me.

Finally!! After so many days of begging our President, he is now oh his mind of accepting our proposal for the unlimited coffee (hihi).

Before, you can have your coffee if you have 9 peso coin in your pocket and dispense it to the nearest vendo machine. But now, management finally decided to include the coffee as one of the benefits to have (happy me!!) I've saved 9 pesos or as big as 27 pesos a day as soon as it was implemented (wooo).

So for my coffee lover mates ^_^ see you soon.. For sure we will have a yummy coffee bonding soon.

Committee Dinner 2010

There are two active committees in my company, one is the Health and Safety and the other one is Recreational Committee where I belong. I admit that 30 percent of my loads was apportioned in implementation of RECOM activities. Canvass of venues, menus, souvenis, talking people is my routine, but am not complaining, as a matter of fact, I am enjoying.

Just this January, management extended their appreciation for the success of all the activity for the whole 2010. We had a delicious eat all you can dinner at Cabalen restaurant in Paseo de Sta. Rosa Laguna.

It's my Anniversary

I can't previse my self that I would love a company the way I do now. A perfect job description that would best enhance my capabilities that I can excell with, a not so perfect but atleast a good hearted boss, the best officemates chums, a good environment and a an average salary and benefits. My job is not perfect, just to clarify, the thing is, I am contented of what my loads are, that's it.

Yesterday, is the day that I had a bucket of tears when my superior and our President talked to me to formally promote my job status. I can still recall that moment when I can't help myself out from crying, (hihi) it was a slight set-up of knowing that I wouldn't hear those magical words of promotion, and it turns out into a happy day for me - so, I guess it was a tears of joy, crazy bossess, right???

Happy Anniversary to me, I wish to myself.... (hihi) serious....

May I have many more years to celebrate here.

And may the Lord continue to bless our company as well...

Now, I have a lot of reasons to treat them, maybe a bucket of kisses will do, what do you think???

That isn't part of your Job!!

When was the last time you have told to your self that you are blowing over your job limits? Is there any point in your professionalism that makes yourself worth to be called professional, or you just doing what was stated on your job description?

Last night, hubby and I had a very petty arguement (I said petty, okay! hihi). He brought himself into the test of intensity level of being a mediator between the blows of his students. I don't want to elaborate more, as I promise to him not to blog what happened (nyahaha, he knows exactly what am thinking) so, I want to clear that this post is not about telling what was happened about the blows and how he made himself a super uber hero that moment, -->> opss (sorry, I can't control, hihi.. zipped).

But this post is about what I have realized on what was happened on that incident and on that petty arguements we had.

Realizations:

There are some work loads/jobs that might come along the way, this may not be part of your job as being stated, but you need to do it because it is your job to perform it as a good person or citizen.
Not all people who shows concern is really concern by heart, some are just fun member of BLAB club!! haarrr
You don't have to become authocratic person to gain respect. Most of the time, being kind and soft-spoken may rule!!
I have realized that I love my husband!!! (aww) very much!!! -->> hihi

GT: Work Resolutions

My professional endeavor comes in a little bit more serious now. Since I am married, I need to work hard not for my own delight but more for my hubby and for my soon to be children.

I am not having any troubles adapting my new work life now. Except with a lot of papers and personal information of my status that I need to update (I hate it!!! grrr), aside from that, I don't have any complains. That's the good thing of working with happiness, enjoyment and contentment.

So for my work resolutions, I promise to become more productive and compliance with my job. I am happy with my colleagues, so I will be more happy to work with them for this year and for the coming years. I will review all my reports before submitting it to avoid revisions (hihi) --->> actually that's their wish for me.... (winks)

Being Happy and Productive at Work

Of course, being happy at work depends mostly on how much you like your job. But what if you really need your job and yet you are experiencing unhappy feelings on it??? You need to accomplish your loads and yet there's a lot of somewhere out there that might hinders you, sad.

That in some point in time, you will find yourself very tragic doing things on your desk that might probably affects on your moods, and yet you don't have any choice but to do your job because you are compensated to do it. As for me, like what I have said before, being a purchaser is definitely not a passion, because merely passsion is doing in the presence of how much you like what you are doing. I can say that my job is more of calling, but in the long process, I could say that it is in somehow a WORK with PASSION.

Just learn the value of establishing your plans, for its either a week or a day. Evaluate yourself and try to see what are those things that affects your happiness in performing your job. Appreciate everything in your table, maybe an officemate seating beside you can make you smile even for a while. Be positive more often, when your boss are often smilling, then give them yours, why not???

Remember that your happiness is all depends on you, if you choose to be happy then so be it, and likewise.

Congratulations to FRDP Movers, they have won the best dancers during our christmas party. I have said before that we will be joining FPMI's Chirstmas Party (our sister company).

After a serious yet fun practises they been through, I could say that the effort is really worth. FRDP movers roll over the floor and shouted out loud for victory, they are all energetic and alive that night. So when they stepped down in front of everybody, I know that they will win!!! Its a matter of unity and enjoyment I guess.

Look at them, they look good in thier costumes.

Again, congratulations and we are all proud of you guys!!!

Seminar: Effective Purchasing and Procurement Skills Workshop (Day 2)

As I have said, first day of the seminar we have discussed about the difference between ~~Traditional Purchasing~~ and the ~~Procurement Process~~. And I hope you've got a better understanding on what I am trying to elaborate, hihi.

Second day is all about application of Procurement Process. The speaker encouraged us to apply the procurement instead of simply just assert the process of Traditional purchasing. He gave us techniques on how to become an effective and efficient procurement staff/analyst in application to our job. And you know what every body inside the seminar is considering of having proposal to thier mangement of changing their Job Designation - and I was thinking the same, hihi. I can see anything bad on that, so as long as you can justify on that, why not??

I enjoyed that seminar, I gained another learnings and friends. I even got much techniques on how to become more effective in terms of procument approach. Because to be honest, am knew in this job and I don't even have any idea in the first place of what was purchasing all about. I don't know how to make PO (Purchase Order) and the process beyond that. I just learned them within the process of my work but the real knowledge, is zero!!

On that seminar one thing is clear on me. That purchasing is not merely not a PASSION but more of a CALLING. Because passion is doing what you love to do. While calling on the other hand, is doing what you don't want to do, but you need to do it!!

Christmas Party is Up

It is part of my Job to become busy during Christams season, and eventually am beginning to love it. Busy with Christmas Party venue, raffle gifts etc. And for two consecutive years of doing this, I admit that I have learned lots of techniques in organizing events which I believe one of the reasons why I am not that stress in preparing my own wedding event. Well I have to give credit on my company, Thanks much FRPD hihi.

I am thankful that I don't have to become much more busy (unlike last year's party) in organizing our company's party this year. Since the management decided to celebrate our Christmas party together with our Sister Company, who's office is located beside us. So, it was less effort and no additional pressure for me since am doing my personal wedding preparatin as well. I am now thinking that my wedding is just right for any circumstances. We had the right love at the right time, wooooo (lolz).

Seminar: Effective Purchasing and Procurement Skills Workshop (Day 1)

I am out of the office for two days because of my seminar. This is what I am looking for as part of personality developement and not just in terms of professional work loads. What I love about this seminar is first of course the topic and the speaker as well, I also enjoy the food and the venue.

On our first day, we have discussed about the traditional purchasing approach versus the Procurement way of purchasing which is more effective to be done. He vehemenced that Purchasing is now being part of the Procurement process and not to be seen as wholly part of Purchasing load itself. Try to see this, I made an illustration (excel form) for me to elaborate more clearly.

In reality, purchasing is a small unit in the organization. But..... we are ordering billions of what is the organization is needed. We are merely the frontliner within the company, so being a purchaser requires a lot of hardship and a long patience more often.

I have been praying to spot the jackpot price of lotto 6/55 game. Since it was reached for almost billion pesos already. But my desire of winning withered early this morning, when I heard the news that someone from Luzon hit the 6 winning combination numbers, what a lucky person!!! I just said "Oh!! God, why not me??" (sob :-(

But anyways, didn't you know that I even listed down all my plans if ever I am the lucky person who spotted out the jackpot? yeah!! and I want to share my craziness on you guys..

It goes like this.....If I am the that lucky girl....

I would become one of the greatest Lending Investors in our government.
Franchise KFC (since we do have Jollibee store on our place) and Jollibee in selected areas around the world. (wwoooooo), Mc Donalds as well (yaayyy)
Donate some of my money in our Church and I will put up foundation for old people (some like, Home for the Oldies)
I would buy my own school and my fiance will be the one to manage it.
Donate classrooms with comfort rooms in public schools, more especifically in school where my Fiance works "BNHS"
Help my family, maybe I would provide them a good refuge.
Educational plan for my future children.
And the rest ---->> SHOPPING of course ^_^

But as I have said, somebody spotted out the jacpot already. So what should I do next is to wait for another billion jackpot price... cross fingers ^_^

I Thought I would Drop a Boss

So far, I could say that I have experienced an ideal workmates and a wonderful boss of course a perfect job description as well (no joke about that!!). When I was working in Makati almost 2 years ago, no doubt! I have enjoyed the benefits of a well compensated employee, having a good environment, seeing tallest buildings, you'll going crazy seeing those hi-tech gadgets that would help you to work more speedy and a lot more. However, I have never left being at home with my work mates, more especially with my co-department and with my boss. I don't know where their attitudes came from but I don't see them in professional way. By then, I could say that I am truly not inspired of waking up and prepare to go to the office, and I have realized that salary are merely the factor you would consider in work, it should be the happiness of working within.

So just last week, I was stunned and a bit paralyzed when I heard my mentor told me that she is considering to drop her job. I don't know what to say that time, all I know is I would definitely lose a good mentor who taught me lots of things professionally and even personally. But I can't even say "Please Stay" because I understand her burdens, she loves the company, the environment and the culture but she can't survive for the benefits and salary for she has little a boy that needed to survive too.

But as my title goes, everything is settled now and cleared. Actually I had a second thought of writing this story, because until now I am on the processes of converting my mind of being traumatized, hihi (that was the effect on me). But God is good, and I can smile all the time now. Back to good work and good boss again.
